Text Box: At this time, we have a list of different displays or events put on by the local government & the military: • Roswell Fire Department demonstrating their 100 foot ladder truck, rescues and fire-fighting. • Roswell Police Department demonstrating use of one of their patrol cars. • Red Cross demonstrating the use of one of their emergency response vehicles to provide tents, bedding, food, and drinks to people burned out of apartment buildings, etc. • Rural Metro Ambulance Service demonstrating use of one of their ambulances. • Amateur Radio Operators demonstrating emergency communications networks at a mobile radio station. • Georgia National Guard demonstrating mountain rescue using their mobile climbing wall. • U.S. Army/Marines demonstrating their community service capabilities during floods, fires, etc. • U.S. Navy demonstrating their community service capabilities during hurricanes, etc. • U.S. Coast Guard demonstrating their community service capabilities during ocean rescues, etc. • U.S. Air Force demonstrating their transport and evacuation capabilities. • Climbing clubs demonstrating their climbing and rappelling rescue techniques. • Local, County, State, and Federal politicians from both parties speaking from our speakers’ platform on their community service programs.
